FLARE-THRU DESIGN
Cam and Groove fittings are designed to facilitate a quick-connect or quick-disconnect. The cam and groove fittings are engineered with distinct design advantages:
- The hose inner core of PTFE is extended through the coupler support stem and flared behind the sealing gasket. Material conveyed touches only PTFE or PFA encapsulated gasket.
- The coupler swivels until completely sealed against the gasket facilitating easy operator handling.
- No material entrapment: PTFE interior surface smoother than 0.20/in.
- No joint between hose and fitting.
- Self-draining, one-piece PTFE interior surface through the entire hose assembly
- No exposed gasket materials PFA 'encapsulated' gaskets are standard.
- Temperature rated to exceed hose maximum temperature.

Specifications
Manufactured to MIL-C-27487. Interchangeable with other manufacturers' designs when manufactured to this specification. The swivel design makes it easy to position the coupling for easy cam leverage sealing.

Insert Material
Type 316 stainless steel or PFA encapsulated. Coupler is cast 316 stainless steel: insert is machined Type 316 L stainless steel or PFA encapsulated with a stainless steel base material. Standard gasket for stainless couplers is Buna N rubber. PFA encapsulated gasket standard with 16T/16FT designs.
