POLYPRO is a high-crystalline, random copolymer polypropylene, good for use in structural systems. Semi-rigid with limited ability to bend. this product is often used in the food processing industry for clean applications.
Since it is weldable, POLYPRO may be joined directly, although it is typically joined by means of a push-to-connect fitting, such as Newloc®. Also, POLYPRO may be applied as a reasonably priced alternative to Teflon® tubing in many applications.
The combination of polypropylene's properties make it desirable for a broad mix of applications. Polypropylene is the lightest of all thermoplastic available today, and. like polyethylene, it floats. It offers a high strength-to-weight ratio, low surface friction, and excellent resistance to corrosion. It may be sterilized at temperatures above 212°F. |
